1. About These Terms

On Rotation is a free mobile application developed by Paul Aigueperse that lets you browse and manage your vinyl record collection using data from Discogs. By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The app is available worldwide. Your use is subject to these terms, your local consumer protection laws, and the rules of the app store from which you downloaded the app.

2. Connecting Your Discogs Account

To use the full features of On Rotation, you connect your existing Discogs account through Discogs' official OAuth authentication. This means:

• We never see or store your Discogs password. The app receives OAuth tokens that authorize it to act on your behalf within the scope you approve.
• Tokens are stored securely in your device's encrypted keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).

Your use of Discogs is also subject to Discogs' Terms of Service and Discogs' Privacy Policy.

What the app reads from Discogs

• Your profile information (username, avatar, location, member since date)
• Your collection (releases, folders, ratings)
• Your wantlist
• Release, artist, and label details
• Marketplace statistics (number for sale, lowest price)
• Estimated collection value

What the app can modify on Discogs

• Add or remove releases from your collection
• Move releases between collection folders
• Add or remove releases from your wantlist
• Set or remove your rating on a release (1–5)

These actions are performed on your behalf and take effect immediately on Discogs. The app does not perform any actions on Discogs without your explicit interaction.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect your Discogs account at any time from within the app (Profile > Disconnect Account). This immediately deletes all OAuth tokens and all synced data from your device. You can also revoke the app's access from your Discogs account settings.

3. How Your Data Is Handled

On Rotation does not operate servers. Your collection data is stored locally on your device and flows directly between your device and Discogs. We do not have access to your collection data.

All release data, images, artist and label information displayed in the app originates from Discogs. We do not control, verify, or guarantee this content. Any concerns about the accuracy, licensing, or availability of catalog data should be directed to Discogs, subject to their Terms of Service.

4. License to Use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use On Rotation for free, for personal, non-commercial purposes. The app is free, but standard data charges from your mobile provider may apply.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use the app to scrape, bulk-export, or redistribute Discogs data
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security features
• Use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or Discogs' Terms of Service

6. Intellectual Property

On Rotation, including its design, code, and original content, is the property of Paul Aigueperse and is protected by copyright law.

Release data, images, and catalog information displayed in the app are sourced from Discogs and remain subject to Discogs' terms and licensing. All trademarks referenced in the app belong to their respective owners.

This application uses Discogs' API but is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Discogs.

7. No Warranty

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. Data accuracy depends on Discogs, and synchronization depends on the availability of the Discogs API, both of which are outside our control.

Discogs may change, limit, or revoke API access at any time, which may affect the app's functionality.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Paul Aigueperse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. This includes loss of data, loss of access to your Discogs account, or inaccuracies in displayed information.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of France. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of your country of residence. For consumers outside the EU, local mandatory consumer protection laws apply where required.
